We are pleased to provide the final edition of the Victorian Wild Trout Strategy 2020 – 2025 to all passionate trout fishers who value our precious wild trout fishery.

Members of the Victorian Wild Trout Reference Group formed part of this representative workshop.

Please help us achieve the Vision & Mission: As you read through the “priority actions” in the Strategy, you will note that there are quite a few “measures” in which trout fisher volunteers can become involved to assist in achieving the desired “outcomes”. Reports from regions not affected by the bushfires are very promising with healthy flows in most trout streams. Unfortunately, Stages 3 and 4 restrictions have put a damper on our opening events.
Even so, we hope and trust that restrictions will soon be eased for all to enjoy their favourite pastime of matching wits with the wily wild trout in our wonderful waterways.
