This document was developed with 30 wild trout fishers through a two-day workshop hosted by the ATF and VFA last October. Members of the Victorian Wild Trout Reference Group formed part of this representative workshop.

Reports from regions not affected by the bushfires are very promising with healthy flows in most trout streams. Unfortunately, Stages 3 and 4 restrictions have put a damper on our opening events.
Even so, we hope and trust that restrictions will soon be eased for all to enjoy their favourite pastime of matching wits with the wily wild trout in our wonderful waterways.
