Further plantings for the Nariel and Thowgla Creek systems will occur from the 24th-28th of May 2023.
Previously, (May ’21) the ATF volunteers, NECMA and the local community planted approximately 4000 trees in this catchment. The intention is to exceed this number to improve the stream protection and recovery since the 2019 bushfires.
Accommodation may be scarce, so if you intend to attend, early reservation is essential. There are camping sites and also self-contained cabins at Colac-Colac Caravan Park, and also at Corryong’s Mt. Mittamatite Caravan Park, and the town also has several hotels & motels.
Free camping is available at the Nariel Creek Festival Ground.
Lunch on each day of planting will be available.
It is cold in the mornings at this time of year, so please come prepared.
