The Australian Trout Foundation works to sustain this fishery by undertaking projects that restore and enhance the aquatic and streamside environment. . By approaching the trout fishery in this manner, we also achieve the best outcomes for all fish species, both native and non-native, as well as benefiting other species like platypus and rakali (native water rat). Although we are currently centred in Victoria, we also have a chapter in Western Australia and work with like minded organisations in other states.
