Description
Mayfly Rise is a habitat restoration project on the Ovens River at Bright. Both in-stream and stream-side works have been carried out to enhance the fishing prospects: Works included installation of wood and boulder habitat, and planting of native trees, shrubs, and grasses. The habitat restoration will help to provide refuge and food sources for trout, native fish, platypus, water rats and other water creatures.
